About Dr. Amir Barznouni
Dr. Amir Barzanouni was born in 1985 in the city of Neyshabur, located in Razavi Khorasan province. He completed his elementary, middle, and high school education in Neyshabur, attending the National Organization for Development of Exceptional Talents (SAMPAD) schools during both middle and high school. In 2003, he was admitted to Mashhad University of Medical Sciences to study medicine, earning a rank of 190 in what was considered the most competitive nationwide entrance exam in Iran’s history, without the benefit of any special quota. He studied medicine there from 2003 to 2010.
During his medical studies, he was active in literary associations, research journals, and academic organizations, including research at Mashhad’s Vascular Surgery and Endovascular Research Center.
In 2014, once again without any quota, he achieved a rank of 290 in the national medical residency exam and was accepted into the orthopedic surgery program at Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences in Tehran. He completed the four-year orthopedic residency program at Imam Hossein Hospital and graduated in 2018 with a board certification in orthopedic surgery.
Following his board certification, from 2018 onward, Dr. Barzanouni served in Saveh, a city in Markazi province, as part of the mandatory post-specialty service program. He continued to practice in the same city until 2023, during which time he performed over 6,000 surgeries, primarily in the areas of trauma (especially pelvic fractures), hip and knee joint replacements, and sports-related injuries to the knee and shoulder — achievements he considers milestones in his dedication to patient care.
In 2023, he was accepted into the hip and pelvis subspecialty fellowship at Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences and successfully completed the program by 2025. He is now providing care to fellow citizens through his private practice and services in the private healthcare sector.
